Disabled Refugees Welcome project is celebrating the European Day of Independent Living and invites you to their webinar on May 5th. The two hour long webinar will be broadcasted through the ZOOM program and will have representation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Disabled People International (DPI), European Disability Forum (EDF) and DRW.
The program includes the work, results and publications from Disabled Refugees Welcome. During the last three years experiences shared by disabled migrants on how living in Sweden has worked for them is a basis for the presentation.
DPI – Disabled People International – Giampiero Griffo will be speaking about:

- Conditions of migrants and persons with disabilities to be accepted in society
- The international debate on persons with disabilities in emergency situation
- Condition of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees with disabilities in Italy and the European Union

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will talk about their work in relationship to the UNCRPD.
The European Disability Forum (EDF) will present their work within the area. There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the event.
